Harpoon Brewery Tour: Must Do

The Harpoon Brewery tour is my second official brew tour ever.  Located on Boston's Waterfront, the Harpoon Brewery started back in 1986 (way before my drinking days began!).  The brand is best known and loved for Harpoon India Pale Ale.

The tour only cost $5 and lasted about an hour.  The first half was dedicated to the behind the scenes brewing action.  We got to sample the famous IPA in it's early stages as well as the final product.  The copper-colored beer is medium-bodied with a true hoppy finish.  The best part of the tour was of course, the tasting room.  Mostly because tastes were unlimited!  I tried the IPA, UFO White, Chocolate Stout, Imperial IPA and a 100 Barrel Series Ginger Wheat.  The Ginger Wheat was my absolute fave!

Above is a look inside the Harpoon Brewery offices, where the magic begins.

And here is a peek inside the tasting room.
